Changed my mind about password managers after watching my neighbor get hacked
I used to keep all my passwords in a notebook next to my computer. Figured it was safer than trusting some app with that information. Then my neighbor across the street in Phoenix had his email and bank accounts compromised because he reused the same password everywhere. He showed me how long it took to clean up the mess and I spent the next weekend setting up Bitwarden on all my devices. Has anyone here switched back to paper after trying a manager?

Yeah but is it really that serious for most people? I bet half the stuff people get hacked for is junk accounts they could just delete anyway. Seems like a lot of work for something that might never happen to you.

Isnt it wild how something so simple as a notebook can turn into a headache real fast? I get what @ray_carr is saying about junk accounts, but that neighbor situation sounds rough. For me, it was the thought of all those little accounts adding up that made me switch. I tried going back to paper once but lost the notebook for a week. That panic alone was enough to make me stick with Bitwarden. Once you have everything locked down with a manager, the peace of mind just feels worth it.
