Hit 100 failed login attempts on my home router in one day

I checked my router logs last Tuesday after my internet felt sluggish and saw 103 failed login attempts in a single afternoon from some IP in Russia. Turns out my admin password was still 'admin123' from when the plumber crew set it up 4 years ago. Anyone else ever get a wake-up call from just glancing at their logs?

Honestly that "admin123" is basically an invitation, I changed mine the same day after seeing similar attempts.

Did you ever think maybe they use that default password as a honeypot to see who's poking around the network? I knew a guy who kept his admin creds as "monkey" for years just to mess with the security team during audits.
