That phishing email scared me straight on two-factor auth
I almost lost my email to a phishing scam last week. I turned on two-factor authentication right after and it stopped another try cold. Why are so many people still skipping this simple step?

My company forces us to use Google Authenticator now, no more SMS codes. It stops those sim swap attacks that bypass regular two-factor.

Wow, my buddy almost got hit by a SIM swap attack last year (super scary stuff).

I used to think SMS codes were fine, honestly. But after reading how easy it is to trick a phone company, I switched to an app. It just feels way safer knowing it's on my actual device.
