A $12 Casio beats my $200 field watch for actual daily carry

I wore a fancy automatic for 8 months and kept babying it, resetting it, and worrying about scratches, then grabbed a cheap digital on a whim at a Walmart in Reno. The plastic one has taken door frames, rain, and a drop off a loading dock without skipping a second. Anyone else ditch the nice watch for a beater and never look back?
