My barber in Boise asked why I carry a pen in my back pocket instead of a pouch, and now I get it
He said a pen you have to dig for is a pen you won't use, so I moved it next to my wallet two weeks ago and have signed three checks without asking to borrow one, but now I'm wondering if a dedicated organizer would beat my loose pocket dump.

Pouch people are just pocket dumpers in denial lol. A pouch is still something you have to dig in, just with extra steps. The real fix is having less stuff, not a fancy holder for the same stuff. Next thing you know you'll be buying a $40 leather thing to carry one pen and a debit card.
