Saw a guy at the Des Moines airport pull out a tiny brass pen and now I want one
Was waiting at gate C4 in Des Moines last week and the guy next to me pulled out this little brass pen that looked like it had been through a war. He said he carries it every day because it fits in that tiny pocket above his right jeans pocket and he never notices it until he needs it. I have been carrying a regular plastic pen in my backpack for years and it always ends up broken or lost. Now I want something small and metal that just lives in my pocket. Any of you carry a short pen daily, and does the weight bug you after a while?
That tiny pocket thing is real, once you start using it you notice how often you actually need to write something down. The weight part stops bugging you after like a week, your leg just gets used to it. Biggest thing nobody mentions is the pocket lint and gunk that builds up on a brass pen, so you gotta wipe the threads every so often or it gets gritty when you twist it. Also brass turns your fingers green if you handle it a lot, which some people hate but honestly I kind of like the worn look. Get one with a keychain loop if you can, then you can clip it to your belt loop and never worry about losing it in a couch cushion.
