Changed teams at bowling league after 9 years, finally having fun again
My Thursday night league in Phoenix had the same 5 guys since 2016, and I kept telling myself loyalty mattered more than the fact that we finished dead last 4 seasons straight. Then last week, the bartender at the alley said, 'You look miserable every time you walk in with that group,' and she was right, I was bowling 15 pins below my average just because I dreaded the drama. I asked around and joined a mixed team with two sisters and a retired cop, and tonight I threw my first 200 game in a year. It wasn't about winning, it was about people who actually cheer for spares instead of arguing about the score sheet. Has anyone else stayed in a group way too long out of habit, and what finally got you to leave?

Most people stay in bad situations just cause leaving feels harder.
