Coworker told me my presentation slides were too busy
She said I was cramming 10 points on each slide and nobody could focus. I cut it down to 3 max per slide and a guy actually thanked me for being clear after the meeting.

Yeah @park.tara nailed it, that 3-4 thing is real. I had the same problem a year back and started treating each slide like a billboard - just the main headline and three bullet points max. I also started using really simple charts instead of text blocks. People started actually looking at me during presentations instead of reading ahead.

Three points per slide is the sweet spot for sure. I saw a study once that said people can only hold 3-4 things in their working memory at a time. Your coworker did you a solid by pointing that out.
