Finally fixed the squeaky hinge on my bedroom door after hearing it for 8 months straight
I moved into this apartment in Rochester last October and the top hinge on my bedroom door has screamed every single time I opened it, especially at 2am when I get up for water. I kept putting it off, telling myself I would grab some oil next time I was at the store, which of course never happened. Last night I finally just grabbed the bottle of olive oil from the kitchen, dabbed a little on a paper towel, and wiped it along the hinge pin. Today the door is dead silent and I keep opening and closing it just to hear nothing. Why do we wait so long for fixes that take 30 seconds?
