PSA: my garage door cable snapped on a Saturday and the whole weekend came down to one $12 part
Some folks say just call the guy and pay the $180, others say fix it yourself because springs and cables are easy enough once you watch two videos, and I'm stuck in the middle after spending 4 hours on a ladder, so which side are you on?

Man that sounds rough, four hours on a ladder on a Saturday is no joke. I feel you on being stuck in the middle too, it's like you already put in the time so quitting feels dumb but calling someone also feels dumb. Hope the $12 part at least did the trick!
