Spent $85 on a leather belt that everyone said was overpriced

Everyone told me to just buy a $20 belt from Target, but after 6 months this one still looks new while their cheap ones are already sagging. Has anyone else found that spending more on daily use stuff actually saves money in the long run?

85 bucks is steep but yeah cheap belts fold in half after a month.

Totally agree with @aaronlee on this one. I bought a cheap $25 belt from Marshalls and it started peeling and cracking at the buckle after like three months. Then I got a real leather one for around $75 and it's been going strong for over two years now with daily wear, no sagging or anything. The leather just gets softer and looks better with time, not worse.
