Started timing my dishwasher runs with a $12 stopwatch and shaved 14 minutes off my evening
Three weeks ago I noticed I was waiting around the kitchen for the dry cycle to finish before I could unload, just killing time on my phone. So I grabbed a cheap stopwatch from the hardware store on Route 9 and started timing each load. Turns out the light wash cycle plus air dry takes 51 minutes instead of the 68 I was used to, and I can start it right before I walk the dog. Now I unload the second I get back instead of standing there waiting. Small thing, but I've gotten back almost an hour and a half a week. Anyone else track their appliances like this or am I the only weirdo with a stopwatch on the counter?
