TIL letting go of a grudge against my neighbor for parking in my spot actually made my whole Tuesday feel lighter

After 6 months of stewing about it I finally just asked him about it and he apologized, turns out his kid had a temporary medical thing and he didn't know how to bring it up, has anyone else had a dumb feud that fixed itself with one conversation?

Isn't it wild how we build up these huge stories in our heads about people? I had a similar thing with my neighbor over a fence that was slightly leaning into my yard, turned out he'd been waiting for his disability check to come through before he could fix it. We sat on my porch and hashed it out in like 15 minutes and now he waves every time I pull in. Makes me wonder how many of my other stupid grudges are actually just misunderstandings waiting for a five minute chat.

Nah facts, but I think you mean "hashed it out" not "hashed it out". Like hash is the food, the word is hash like "hash it out". But I totally get the point lol. Its crazy how we let one little thing snowball into this whole narrative in our heads. I had a buddy who thought his coworker was ignoring him on purpose turned out the dude just had bad hearing from working loud concerts. Five minutes of talking and they were cool. Humans are wild man, we just assume the worst.
