Went to the library downtown and actually put my phone away for an hour
I mean, I sat at a table near the big windows and just read a real book, a paperback. I didn't check my phone once, not even for a quick scroll. It felt weird at first, but then I got into the story. My brain felt quieter after, you know? Anyone else find it hard to just sit and do one thing now?

Is it really that big of a deal though? People read books before phones existed all the time. It just sounds like a normal afternoon to me.

Did you see that study about how reading on paper helps you remember stuff better than screens?

Yeah, and people also rode horses everywhere before cars. Doesn't mean I want to give up power steering.
