My pop-up shop at the Memphis flea market taught me about foot traffic math

Ran a weekend pop-up selling handmade leather goods at the Memphis flea market last spring. Paid $120 for a corner booth. Figured the crowd would do the selling for me. First day, maybe 40 people stopped by, zero sales. Second day, I moved my table 15 feet closer to the food stalls. Sold 11 items in 4 hours. Same products, same prices, same crowd. The only thing that mattered was being in the path of people already walking to get food. Made me think about how many startups fail because they nail the product but put themselves in the wrong spot entirely. Has anyone else seen a business turn around just by relocating rather than changing what they offer?
