That $40 pitch deck template that looked like a joke saved my second startup
In 2019 my first startup died because our deck was a mess, investors kept zoning out at the 3rd slide. After that I swore off expensive services and bought a cheap template from a guy on Gumroad in Portland. I thought it was garbage but the flow forced me to cut my pitch to 8 slides, no fluff. We raised $120k pre seed from two angels who said the story finally made sense. Has anyone else had a random cheap tool fix something that consultants overcharged for?
