Finally gave in and tried a bore scope on a tricky misfire
I was dead set against those cheap borescopes for years. Figured my ears and a screwdriver were good enough to find air leaks. Last week I had a 6.7 Cummins that was stumbling at idle and I spent 6 hours chasing my tail. Pulled out a $40 scope from Amazon and spotted a cracked intake runner in 10 minutes. Anybody else hold out on a tool way longer than they should have?

What kind of intake runner crack we talking about? Honestly, I was the same way with compression testers. Swore by the old screw in type for years, then borrowed a fancy electronic one that gave me a graph. Took me an hour to figure out the damn thing.

lmao that's the thing, once you see the crack you can't unsee it. Bet you felt like a dummy for not trying it sooner.
