Just saw a guy at the yard use a heat gun on a seized injector
I was grabbing parts at the Tacoma Freightliner yard yesterday and watched a mechanic work on a 6.7 Powerstroke. He had a stuck injector and instead of reefing on it, he carefully heated the aluminum head around it with a Milwaukee heat gun for about two minutes. He said, 'The aluminum expands faster than the steel, gives you a little window.' It popped right out with a slide hammer. I've always just used penetrant and force. Anyone have a different trick for this?

Wait, a heat gun actually worked? I mean I've seen guys use torches before but that seems risky. @felixw68, a pry bar sounds like my old method too, I'd be scared of cracking something. That aluminum expanding trick is pretty smart, idk why I never thought of that.
