Rant: I used to think paying for OEM injectors was a waste, now I'm not so sure.
A few years back, I was doing a rebuild on a 5.9L Cummins for a buddy's truck in Denver. I went with a set of reman injectors from a local shop for around $400 instead of the OEM Bosch ones that were nearly double. They ran fine for about six months, then one stuck open and washed a cylinder. That cost him another $1200 in parts and labor. Has anyone else had bad luck with aftermarket injectors, or did I just pick a bad shop?

Did the shop give you any warranty on those remans?

Wait, didn't the shop tell you those are remanufactured, not remans, @mary_wells? That's a whole different thing, remans are just rebuilt cores with no real warranty behind them.
