Split on the $600 used injector set, one side swore by it, other side said new only
Pulled a set of injectors off a 6.0 that had 180k on them, shop wanted $1,200 for remans. Found a used set for $600 from a guy in Spokane who claimed they came off a running truck. My partner said I was crazy to gamble on them, said it's just a matter of time before one sticks open and melts a piston. Other guy on the crew said a diesel just needs fuel, air and compression, and those had good compression numbers. I got them in, truck fired up cold no smoke, but I'm still holding my breath at 500 miles. Which side are you on, test an injector before install or just eat the cost on new? Has anyone actually made it work with used injectors long term?

Man, did you even pull the valve covers and watch the oil rails?
