TIL my stubbornness cost me a whole weekend on a 6.7 Powerstroke
Spent 12 hours chasing a no-start, convinced it was the FICM. The actual problem? A $20 crank sensor with a hairline crack you could barely see. Anyone else ever get totally blindsided by something that simple?

Nah, that stubbornness probably saved you a bigger headache later.

Oh man, my buddy was the same way with his old truck. He swore it was the transmission, but like jake_carter said, it was just a bad wire. Being stubborn meant he checked everything else first, so now his whole system is solid.

Honestly, that's just how it goes sometimes. You get locked onto one idea and it's hard to see past it. I've been there, swearing up and down it's the big expensive part. Makes that cheap fix feel like a slap in the face, but at least you found it. Bet you'll check that sensor first next time.
