Vent: Stop over-torquing injector hold-down bolts like they're lug nuts
I swear every other week I see a kid at the shop cranking these M8 bolts to 40 ft-lbs plus. Had a guy bring his 6.7 Powerstroke into my buddy's place in Houston last month because the injector cup cracked right at the threads. Factory spec on those is like 18 ft-lbs with lube, not whatever you feel like after three energy drinks. How do you guys handle telling greenhorns without sounding like a total jerk about it?

What exactly are they putting in those energy drinks that makes 18 ft-lbs feel like not enough?

Hang on, has anybody actually checked what's in the Taurine these days? I heard from a buddy who works in a supplement factory that some companies are using a synthetic version that hits the brain differently, almost like a mild stimulant on its own.
