Warning: fuel return line check before you leave the yard
Out near Amarillo last week, I picked up a 2019 Pete for a hotshot run and skipped the fuel system glance, big mistake. That return line had a pinhole leak that sprayed diesel onto the frame and it went up in a haze of smoke at 70 mph, scary stuff. I killed the engine, coasted to the shoulder, and got the fire out with a dry chem extinguisher, cost me 3 hours and a tow to Lubbock. Has anyone else caught a pinhole early by checking the line with the engine at idle, or is that just standard for you?

Buddy of mine found one same way, caught it dripping at a truck stop. Saved his whole rig.
