Why does nobody talk about glow plug issues on the 6.0 Powerstroke?

I did a head gasket job on a 2005 F-350 at my shop in Akron last month, and spent 4 extra hours chasing a no-start because the glow plug harness was corroded. The wiring diagrams Ford gives you are useless for this, has anyone found a reliable aftermarket harness that actually lasts?
