I had my 12 valve turned up way too hot and kept buying injectors to chase a miss at 1,800 rpm. He listened for 30 seconds and said "that ain't fuel, that's your timing slipped, you're fixing the wrong end of the motor." Turned out the pump had jumped a tooth, and backing the tune down to a sane level made the truck pull better than it ever did before.
