Had a terrible art block week until I tried drawing on my phone

Last Tuesday I was staring at my tablet for like 3 hours and couldn't make a single stroke that looked right. A friend from the digitalart Discord tagged me in a challenge where people were doing quick 10 minute sketches on their phones using just their fingers. I tried it with an app called Sketches Pro and ended up making 4 goofy little drawings that actually looked fun. Has anyone else found switching devices helps when you hit a creative wall?

OH MAN yeah switching devices is like tricking your brain into thinking you're not actually drawing. My laptop setup makes me feel like I'm clocking in for a shift at Art Factory but drawing on my phone feels like I'm just messing around while waiting for my coffee to brew.

@jordan305 you're totally right about that mind trick but I gotta say phone drawing is a NIGHTMARE for my hands. My fingers cramp up SO bad after like 10 minutes of trying to make clean lines on that tiny screen.
