Hot take: my old 2012 Wacom tablet versus the new screen model I got last month

I used to think the old non-screen tablet was fine, but drawing directly on a display is a total game changer for line work. The hand-eye coordination thing just clicked after about three days. Anyone else make that switch and find it hard to go back?

So is the screen model actually worth the crazy price jump, or are you just coping with the cost?

My buddy got the screen model last month. He was showing me how he could check his notes right on the device without pulling out his phone. He said it changed his whole routine, like seeing his next meeting while walking between offices. For him, that little bit of info right there was the whole point. He doesn't regret the cost at all, but he's also the type who uses every single feature.

Honestly, didn't @the_derek change your mind too? I used to think the price was just a flex, but after seeing how he uses his for quick glances during meetings, I get it now. Sometimes the convenience really does justify the cost.
