My digital art files kept getting corrupted until I tried this one export setting

I lost a 6 hour character painting last month when my PSD file decided to just break during a save. After digging through forums for a solution, I switched to saving work-in-progress copies as TIFF files instead of PSD and haven't had a single crash since. Has anyone else dealt with file corruption and found a different workaround that sticks?
