Rant: everyone online hypes up the "perfect" Procreate brushes but I spent three hours at a local gallery show in Portland last weekend and realized most pro artists just use the default hard brush.

Out of 12 artists I talked to only one used a custom brush pack and the rest said they just stick with the basics and focus on layering, so has anyone else noticed the brush marketplace is mostly a trap for newer artists?

Oh man the brush marketplace is totally a trap lol. I fell for it hard when I first started buying all these fancy packs and then realized my favorite pieces were done with the basic round brush.
