Sketched a portrait while nursing a wrist cramp, and it looked possessed.

My aching hand turned my digital painting into a horror show accidentally.

Ever think maybe the cramp just lets out what was already in the art? I get what iriscoleman is saying, but for me the shaky hand doesn't make the horror, it just stops me from over-polishing something that should feel raw. That tension @calebb57 mentioned might be the real feeling coming through, not a mistake. Sometimes a clean, easy line is the lie, and the struggle shows the truth.

Wasn't there a study on how hand cramps make drawings more tense and jagged? I read about an artist who said their wrist pain made them press harder on the tablet, creating darker shadows that looked spooky. The shaky lines and forced pauses completely changed the mood of their portraits. It's wild how a simple cramp can turn a painting into a horror show.

Definitely felt that cramp-induced tension in my own sketches.
