Why does nobody talk about using a projector for digital sketching?

I spent like 3 months fighting with my tablet screen size for large pieces. Then I saw a clip of someone projecting a reference photo onto their canvas and tracing the basic shapes first. I tried it with a $60 mini projector I had for movie nights, and the proportions came out perfect on the first try. It's not cheating, it's just a faster way to block in the composition. Has anyone else tried this for murals or big digital prints?

Honestly, I get the hype, but you're kinda mixing up two things. A projector helps you trace, but it doesn't fix your composition skills or lighting. It's a tool for blocking in, not a shortcut for the actual sketching part.
