Changed my mind about email subject lines after seeing a 47% open rate at my old agency
I always thought subject lines were mostly fluff and that the offer did the heavy lifting, but a coworker pulled up our client reports from Q3 and showed that just swapping a question for a plain statement lifted opens from 22% to 47% on one list of 8,400 people. Now I want to know if anyone here has seen that same jump hold up across different industries, or if it was just a fluke for that one audience.
