Pro tip: stop chasing new keywords in your 40s, fix your old pages instead
Everyone in my local SEO meetup in Columbus keeps bragging about finding fresh keywords, but I spent 3 weeks last month just updating 11 old blog posts and my organic traffic went up 34 percent. Two of those pages were from 2019 and ranked on page 3, and all I did was add new screenshots and fix the broken internal links. New keywords are fun, but Google seems to trust the pages you already have way more than the ones you just made. Am I the only one who thinks the keyword research hype is mostly a waste of time for small sites?
