Realized my retargeting audience was bleeding me dry, here's what clued me in
Been running Facebook retargeting for an ecommerce client in Austin for about 6 months. Cost per acquisition kept climbing, hitting $48 when our product is only $39. The other day I checked our audience list size and found it had grown to 68,000 people, most from visits 60+ days ago who never added to cart. That was the moment it clicked, I was basically advertising to people who already forgot us. I kill anyone with no site interaction in the last 14 days now and split the campaign by page type. Has anyone else narrowed their retargeting window this hard or am I overcorrecting?
