Split testing email subject lines paid off big time for a client last month
I ran a simple A/B test on a Black Friday promo for a local shop in Austin, and the version with a question mark in the subject pulled 42% more opens than the plain statement one. Has anyone else seen that kind of jump from just tweaking one word or punctuation, or was this just a lucky fluke?
Did you peek at the time of day each batch went out? I swear I once saw a huge open bump just because I sent the test at 7am instead of 9am, made zero sense.
