Can we talk about how hard it is to find a decent coworking space abroad?

I spent a full 4 days in Medellin bouncing between 3 different coworking spots with bad wifi before I found one that worked. The first place had a router that kept dropping every 20 minutes and they just shrugged at me.

Check the coworking Facebook groups in each city before you book, saved me hours of bad wifi headaches.

I saw a post on Reddit last month where a guy said he wasted two full workdays at a "coworking space" in Lisbon that had wifi so slow he couldn't load Slack. He ended up working from a McDonald's across the street for the rest of the week. Facebook groups are the way to go though, there's one called "Digital Nomad Asia" that has people literally posting speed test screenshots and photos of the outlets in every spot from Bangkok to Bali. I joined it after my own nightmare in Chiang Mai where the space looked nice but the wifi dropped every 20 minutes. Those groups are full of real people who actually use the places, not just fancy marketing photos.
