Had to choose between a cheap apartment in Chiang Mai or a pricier spot with better wifi in Lisbon

Went with Lisbon for the reliable connection and it was 100% worth the extra $300 a month for my video calls. Anyone else faced a similar choice between budget and essential work needs?
