Hot take: coworking spaces are overrated for actual focus work

I spent 3 months hopping between Bali and Chiang Mai coworking spots, but my best output came from a $8/night hostel bunk with noise-canceling earbuds and a 2am schedule. The social buzz and free coffee kept pulling me into chats that ate my whole afternoon, so I stopped buying day passes altogether. Anyone else find that paying for 'community' actually hurt their remote workflow?

Ha, but hostels have their own social pull too, you just happened to dodge it! Honestly I think the real trick is that late night schedule, not the physical space.
