I finally called out a nomad in Chiang Mai for his 'work setup' at a cafe.
This guy had his laptop propped on a pile of books, a giant speaker playing music, and was taking calls on speakerphone for two hours straight. I told him he was being rude and ruining the spot for everyone else trying to work. How do you handle people who treat public spaces like their private office?

Ugh, that sounds so annoying. Good for you for saying something. What did he even SAY back to you? I feel like his reaction tells you everything about what kind of person does that.

Yeah but come on, sometimes people just zone out. Not like he was doing it to be rude on purpose. I've definitely been that guy before where my brain just checked out for a second and I didn't even realize someone was trying to talk to me. Maybe the guy was having a rough day and his reaction came off wrong but it wasn't about disrespecting her specifically.
