Overheard a 25 year old call coworking spaces 'the new factory floors' and it stuck with me

I was grabbing coffee at a spot in Chiang Mai last Tuesday and this young guy was on a video call. He said coworking spaces are just modern day factories where we all sit in rows and type for 10 hours. It hit me because I've been doing this for about 8 years now and he's not totally wrong. Sure we have freedom but how much of our day is really spent staring at a screen in a rented room with 50 other people doing the same thing? Has anyone else felt the grind sneaking back in even when you're supposed to be living the dream?

Yeah pretty much just wearing different clothes while doing the same damn thing.
