Picked a $3 hostel bunk in Chiang Mai over a $22 private room and woke up to a stranger's toenails in my bed
Last month in Chiang Mai I stood in the lobby with my backpack and had to decide between the cheap dorm and a private room. I went with the bunk to save cash for a scooter rental, and around 3am a guy in the top bunk started clipping his toenails right over my side. Little clippings rained down and one landed on my pillow. I moved to a $22 room the next night and slept like a rock. Anyone else have a cheap bed story that pushed you to pay up?
