Showerthought: My cousin the hostel manager said most nomads burn out in 8 months, and I'm at month 7 now
She said they get lonely around month 6 and start chasing flights instead of experiences, now I'm wondering if I should sign a lease somewhere for a few months instead of bouncing again - has anyone else hit that wall and actually stayed put?

Wow that's a really good question! I bet your cousin sees that pattern all the time with people passing through. What specifically about the loneliness do you think gets you - is it missing deep conversations with the same people, or more like feeling like you're not really part of any community? I've watched my buddies go through that phase where they start booking flights just for the sake of moving, not because they actually want to go somewhere. I wonder if you've noticed yourself making excuses to leave a place before you've even given it a real chance to feel like home.
