The coworking space in Chiang Mai made me slower, not faster
Last month I paid $180 for a hot desk at one of those popular spots near Nimman. Everyone talks about how these places boost focus, but I got more work done in my hostel bed in Bali back in March. The constant networking chatter and espresso machine sounds just broke my flow, and I ended up leaving by 2pm every day to sit at a random cafe for free. Has anyone else found that the most hyped nomad hubs actually kill their productivity?

Three hundred dollars at Hub 64 in Bangkok did the same thing to me, I swear the wifi died every time I hit a deadline. Those places are built for socializing, not actually working, so now I just grab a table at the mall food court and save my cash.
