Vent: Overheard a kid at a cafe say 'my parents have a zoom room' and it hit me how different this life is now
was sitting at a coworking spot in chiang mai and this little girl maybe 8 years old told her mom she needed to go back to the hotel for her dad's zoom room time. i remember when having a parent who worked from home meant they were either a doctor on call or just unemployed. now kids just assume every adult lives on video calls from random countries. been doing the nomad thing for 6 years and i still feel weird about it sometimes. anyone else catch themselves feeling like an outsider in both worlds now?

That zoom room stuff is wild... kid's got a better setup than most offices I've seen.
