Why does nobody talk about how much a 30 day visa run to Kuala Lumpur actually costs?
I tracked every ringgit for my last border hop from Chiang Mai to KL and back, and the total came to about 1,150 MYR or roughly 260 USD. That covered the flight, four nights in a guesthouse near Bukit Bintang, food, local SIM, and the bus to the Thai embassy. Compared to the 1,900 baht I used to blow on a same-day visa run to Vientiane, this was somehow cheaper and way less awful. Does anyone else have a city they swear by for a reset trip, or am I the only one treating KL like a budget spa weekend?
