Chose the accessible train over the bus for my commute, best decision I made this year

I live in Portland and have a spinal cord injury that makes stairs a nightmare. For 6 months I took the bus because it was closer to my apartment. But every day I had to deal with drivers who didn't lower the ramp or stopped too far from the curb. Last month I switched to the light rail even though it adds 15 minutes. The platforms are level, the gap is tiny, and I've only had one delay in 4 weeks. Has anyone else found that a slightly longer route with better accessibility is way less stressful?

Best decision I made this year" - bold words for picking a train over a bus.

Buddy of mine swore by the bus for years, then got stuck in traffic for three hours coming home from work one night. He finally tried the train the next day and said it felt like cheating because he was home in half the time. Never heard him complain about the train again after that.
