Found out 1 in 4 adults in the US have some kind of disability

I was reading a report from the CDC last night and it said 61 million adults. That is way higher than I thought. Makes me wonder why so many public places still aren't accessible. Has anyone else seen numbers like this for their area?

Honestly, that number doesn't surprise me as much as it should because a lot of disabilities are invisible. People think about wheelchairs or canes, but chronic pain, mental health issues, and stuff like long COVID count too. The real kicker is that accessibility laws often focus on physical stuff, but they ignore things like lighting, noise levels, or even having places to sit down for people who can't stand long. So you've got this huge group of people who need different kinds of help, and the rules are still playing catch-up with what's actually needed day to day.

Gently pushing back though, long COVID is definitely real but not legally a disability for everyone.
