Had my accessible parking placard denied for the third time last month and I'm losing it
I applied for a temporary accessible parking placard back in June after my knee surgery rehab hit a wall. The DMV in Austin denied it twice because my doctor's note didn't use the exact phrase they wanted. Third time I had my surgeon write it out word for word from their website and they still kicked it back saying the expiration date was wrong. I spent like 4 hours on hold total and finally got a supervisor who said the system just flagged it automatically. Anyone else deal with this kind of bureaucratic nonsense just to park closer to the store?

Used to think people complaining about DMV stuff were just dramatic. Then I spent two months dealing with this exact same garbage after my own surgery. Three submissions, same doctor's note each time, got denied for three different reasons that made no sense. It's like they design the system to fail on purpose. The automatic flagging thing is real, I had a supervisor admit my first one was fine but the computer kicked it out. Whole thing made me realize the system is broken for everyone, not just people trying to cheat it.
