Just read that only 40% of subway stations in NYC are fully accessible

Actually it's even worse. Only around 25% of stations are fully accessible.

Is that counting just step-free access or the whole journey though? Like, you can get into a station but then the platform might have gaps or the signage is useless... I was looking at the map the other day and so many lines have stations that are technically accessible but you have to go the long way around or ask staff for help. It's frustrating because the number sounds bad but the real experience is even worse than the stats suggest.
