Just realized curb cuts actually made a difference in my neighborhood

I used to think curb cuts were just a convenience thing, not a big deal. Then I broke my ankle last spring and had to use a wheelchair for 6 weeks. Before my accident, some corners in my town had no curb cuts at all. After I got back on my feet, I checked the same spots and 4 of them had been redone with proper slopes. That's when it hit me how much those little ramps matter for getting around.

Oh man, you're SO right. It's one of those things you just don't get until you NEED it. That's a powerful lesson right there.
